8. Vocation and School

As you get towards the end of Character Creation, you must choose a Vocation for your character. These vocations will primarily define your characters roll within the World of Vala. Each Vocation is an important part in upkeeping the World of Vala. To dedicate your life to a vocation, your character must first attend school within the World of Vala.

While some schools have a base requirement for admittance, anyone has the potential to attend these institutions of higher learning. To become fully fledged members of their vocation, individual characters must earn a degree at an institute of higher learning. While learning at an institute, students are walking the path to their future careers. Due to this, students must live up to the indvidual tenats of the school they want to attend. Failure to follow their ideas could get a player ejected from their school. Players can choose the following Vocations and the schools associated with them:

Vocation Traits

While attending a school, you earn innate traits once you pass a full semester. There are 8 possible traits you can learn at each institution. Players have access to the trait at the beginning of a new semester. Players must be careful choosing a school because they must endeavor to represent the morals found at the specific location. If they do not, they may be expelled from a school, lose access to all traits at that school, and be barred from easily attending other institutions of higher learning.
