11. Archetypes

The final part of Character Creation is the Archetypes system. There are three different types of archetypes within “The World of Vala.” The Warrior, the Academic, and the Rogue. These archetypes exist to give players a starting direction for their created character.

• The Warrior

  • Archetype Description: Warriors share an unparalleled mastery of weapons and armor and a thorough knowledge of the skills of combat. They are well acquainted with death, both meeting it out and staring it defiantly in the face.

    • Attribute Score Increase: +1 to Strength and Constitution

    • Basic Stat Increase: +10 to Starter HP

    • Weapon Proficiency: Gain Proficiency in 2 Weapons.

    • Proficient Skills: Choose Two Skills from Strength or Constitution to be proficient in.

    • Starter Hours of Training: 2500 Hours.

• The Academic

  • Archetype Description: Academics are defined by their extensive studies, and their characteristics reflect this life of contemplation.

    • Attribute Score Increase: +1 to Wisdom and Intelligence.

    • Basic Stat Increase: +2 to Starter AC.

    • Weapon Proficiency: Gain Proficiency in 2 Weapons.

    • Proficient Skills: Choose Two Skills from Wisdom or Intelligence to be proficient in.

    • Starter Hours of Training: 2500 Hours.

• The Rogue

  • Archetype Description: Rogues rely on skill, stealth, and their foes’ vulnerabilities to get the upper hand in any situation. They have a knack for finding the solution to just about any problem, demonstrating resourcefulness and versatility..

    • Attribute Score Increase: +1 to Dexterity and Charisma.

    • Basic Stat Increase: +15 to Speed.

    • Weapon Proficiency: Gain Proficiency in 2 Weapons.

    • Proficient Skills: Choose Two Skills from Dexterity or Charisma to be proficient in.

    • Starter Hours of Training: 2500 Hours.
